Overview
Three years building for the Monitoring Team
I worked remotely from Kigali for Proqio, a geotechnical monitoring company in Spain, as a full-stack developer from October 2022 to November 2025. I served as a key player in the Monitoring Team, building a sensors management system.
Challenge
Sensor data only helps when people can see it
A monitoring team needs to know where its sensors are and what they are reporting. That means bringing data from backend services into the interface and presenting locations and alerts in a way that is quick to read and act on.
Solution
REST APIs and maps working together
I collaborated with backend teams to integrate REST APIs and optimize data, and worked with the Esri ArcGIS mapping library to visualize sensor locations and alerts.
